알바 절반이상이 초장기알바를 좋아하는 것으로 보여졌다. 아르바이트생몬이 60대에서 60대알바생 2,506명을 타겟으로 '아르바이트생 근무여건 선호도'에 대해 인터넷조사를 진행했다. 조사결과 알바생들은 2개월미만 일하는 '초장기알바생'보다 2개월이상 일하는 '파트타임알바'를 더 선호한다고 답했다.
야간 알바 경험은 여성(79.3%)이 여성(62.2%)에 16.8%포인트(P) 높았으며, 남성이 남성에 비해 상대적으로 택배 상·하차 알바를 하는 비율이 9.7%P 높았다. 남성의 경우 호프집 등 서빙 알바를 하는 비율이 7.7%P 높았다.
알바 경험이 있는 청년의 약 80%는 특정 성별을 선호해 고용을 거절당한 경험이 있다(남성 37.0%, 남성 40.9%)고 응답했다. 현재 임금 업무자인 청년 중 다니는 직장에서 남·남성이 하는 근무가 구분돼 있다는 데에 여성의 32.3%, 여성의 44.7%가 '그렇다'고 대답했다.
다른 지역도 상태은 유사하다. 이날 오전 대면수업이 있어 학교에 왔다는 울산대의 두 재학생은 “3학년이지만 과 친구나 동아리 친구도 없으며 아르바이트도 없는 중학생활을 하고 있다”며 “특이하게 알바는 교내 근로장학생 말고는 찾기 힘들 정도”라고 이야기 했다.
